What can you expect in this role?

Lead and oversee a team of litigation lawyers handling casualty litigation
Contribute to leadership of Economical’s Claims Litigation Unit
Opportunity to provide advice to the Claims department on litigation handling generally
Limited caseload of mid to high complexity litigation files

What do you bring to the role?

Demonstrated leadership abilities with at least 3 years leading or mentoring other lawyers
At least 6-10 years of litigation experience, including claims litigation
Strong commitment to coaching and mentoring developing lawyers
Passion for finding better ways
Empathy and ability to motivate
High degree of personal ethics, integrity and responsibility
Team player, adaptable to a changing environment
Law Degree from an accredited law school (LLB or Juris Doctor)
Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario to practice law as a lawyer in Ontario
This role requires clearance of a background check and disciplinary action check
